Winston Abreu signed with the Chiba Lotte Marines for 2008, but was back in the major leagues in 2009, playing with the Tampa Bay Rays.

He was a member of 7 different organizations before joining the Baltimore Orioles, with whom he made his major league debut in 2006. His wandering ways did not end there, as the O's were the first of four major league teams for Abreu.
