Winston-Salem, NC
From BR Bullpen
Winston-Salem, North Carolina has had a team in the Carolina League every season since the circuit was formed in 1945. They are the only city to have that distinction. The city is located in northern North Carolina and is the fourth largest in the state; it was a traditional center of the tobacco industry and is home to Wake Forest University. It was formed in 1913 when the adjoining towns of Salem and Winston were officially joined, although the two had functionned as a single city for decades beforehand.
