[edit] Biographical Information
Peña made his Major League debut for the Cincinnati Reds in 2002. He played for them until after the 2005 season. During spring training in 2006, he was traded to the Boston Red Sox for pitcher Bronson Arroyo.
Pena may very well have hit the longest home run in Kauffman Stadium history in 2007, when he sent a bomb to left field that nearly made it to I-70.
Peña played for the Red Sox through the 2007 season. On August 17, 2007, he was traded to the Washington Nationals for first baseman Chris Carter. The Arizona Diamondbacks received Emiliano Fruto in the trade.
