Willie Brooks Wells (Junior)

Willie Wells Jr. was the son of Hall-of-Famer Willie Wells. He broke in with the 1944 Memphis Red Sox and hit .120, then increased it to .196 the next year. He hit .167 for the '46 Chicago American Giants, then spent '47 back in Memphis. In 1948, Wells Jr. hit .251 for the Red Sox as a teammate of his dad's, who now played third to Willie Junior's short. In 1950, Willie played for his father with the Winnipeg Buffalos in the Mandak League and he finished his career with the '51 New Orleans Eagles.
