Outfielder Willie Ansley hit .459/~.551/.847 with 8 HR and 27 SB in 98 AB As a high school senior at Plainview High School in Plainview, Texas. He was selected by the Houston Astros in the first round of the 1988 amateur draft with the seventh overall pick and turned down a football scholarship to the University of Oklahoma to sign with the Astros.
