[edit] Biographical Information
Wiley Taylor pitched in the majors during 1911-14. He also pitched a number of years in the minors, going 22-14 for Austin in 1911.
Taylor was born in Wamego, KS, about 75 miles west of Kansas City, MO. In 1910 he played for the Ellsworth Blues of the Central Kansas League.
He is one of several major leaguers remembered with the first name Wiley (although Wiley was actually his middle name). The others all came up between 1896-1902.
A photo can be found here. He looks quite tall and slender.
