Wilbur "Wib" Smith played for the 1909 St. Louis Browns, appearing in 17 games.

Smith was born in Evart, MI, in north-central Michigan. From 1905-09 he was at Albion College in Albion, MI, in south-central Michigan. Through 2009 he is the only major league player out of Albion College.

He made his major league debut on May 31, 1909, having previously played some minor league ball at Pueblo in 1907-08. He was with Minneapolis from 1910-14.

In the 1920's he managed at Watertown and Jamestown.
