Whitney Robinson-Pierce spent three years in Organized Baseball and has since bounced around the globe.
Robinson-Pierce was taken in the 32nd round of the 2002 amateur draft by the Baltimore Orioles. He split 2002 between the Aberdeen Ironbirds (.149/.184/.191 in 15 G) and Bluefield Orioles (.211/.231/.237 in 18 G), serving as a backup catcher at both stops. In 2003, he was with the Delmarva Shorebirds (.188/.212/.188 in 10 G) and Aberdeen (.233/.342/.333 in 10 G). In '04, he played for Aberdeen (.174/.240/.174 in 7 G) and Delmarva (.083/.290/.083 in 20 G).
Let go by Baltimore, he signed on with the Gateway Grizzlies and hit .220/.316/.270 in 2005. In 2006, he hit .404/.526/.877 for the Reussbuehl Eagles of the Swiss NLA. He drove in 28 runs in 57 games.
He then signed with the H.S.C. RCH-Pinguïns of the Netherlands. In the 2008 Hoofdklasse campaign, Robinson-Pierce (now listed solely as Pierce) hit .191/.275/.281 in 25 games. He had 8 errors in 20 games at catcher but did throw out 15 of 38 would-be base-stealers.
Pierce signed with the Saarlouis Hornets of Germany for 2009. He debuted in the Bundesliga on April 4, going 0 for 4 with two strikeouts against the Mannheim Tornadoes. He is hitting .208 after 8 games.
