West Palm Beach, FL

From BR Bullpen

West Palm Beach is located on Florida's southern Atlantic Coast, 40 miles north of Fort Lauderdale, FL. The smaller city of Palm Beach, FL lies across the laguna on a coastal island, while Palm Beach Gardens, FL is to the north. It was a long-time spring training site, until the construction of a modern complex in Jupiter, FL, 15 miles to the north, in the late 1990s, which is also served as the home ballpark for the area's teams.

In 2017, a new spring training complex, shared by the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals, opened in the city. It was a return home for the Nationals, as their earlier incarnation, the Montréal Expos, had used West Palm Beach as spring training site until moving to Jupiter in 1998.
