The Wenatchee Chiefs had a working agreement with the Seattle Rainiers from 1955 to 1957. When the Clovis Redlegs team folded in June of 1957, the Cincinnati Reds, owners of the Clovis team, signed a working agreement with Wenatchee that superceded the Seattle agreement. All the players except three were shipped out, while the Clovis manager, Bert Haas and many of its players reported to Wenatchee.
