Weiser, Idaho was the birthplace of Bob Martyn.

Walter Johnson played semi-pro baseball in Weiser in 1906 and 1907. His performance for the Weiser "Kids" was so spectacular that he jumped straight to the majors without spending time in the minor leagues.
