[edit] Biographical Information

Wayne Tyrone hit one career home run, August 3, 1976, off of Jim Kaat of the Philadelphia Phillies. He started the game in left field and went 1 for 3.

He had no career errors in 17 career games - 7 in the outfield, 5 at first base and 5 at third base.

He is the brother of Jim Tyrone; in the 1979 edition of the Macmillan Baseball Encyclopedia, his playing record is missing, confounded with that of his brother: Wayne only played in 1976, while Jim played in 1972, 1974, 1975 and 1977, but not in 1976. Both brothers played for the Chicago Cubs, adding another layer of potential confusion.
