[edit] Biographical Information

Wayne Edwards pitched in one full season, and parts of 2 others with the Chicago White Sox. He put up above average numbers in his career, giving up 110 hits in 125 and 2/3 innings with an ERA of 3.37 which translates to a 115 ERA+. His major league career ended early in 1991 at the age of 27 but he resurfaced in the minors, pitching for the 1995/1996 Bakersfield Blaze, a co-op team in the California League.

  • Formed a band called V.I.E.W. with Chicago White Sox teammate Jack McDowell. Edwards played drums. His father, also a musician, was a member of the 60's beach style band, "The Hondels".
  • He was signed by Duane Shaffer.
