Wang-Wei Lin is the twin brother of Wang-Yi Lin; both played in the US minors.
Wang-Wei Lin played in the 2004 World Junior Championship, going 1 for 11 but with a walk, 2 runs and 2 RBI as Taiwan's center fielder. He also played in the 2006 World Junior Championship. He signed with the Minnesota Twins that October.
In his minor league debut, he hit .194/.265/.290 for the GCL Twins with 25 strikeouts in 62 AB in 2007. In 2008, he was 1 for 10 with a walk before his season ended due to injury. He returned to the field in 2009 and improved his play, hitting .364/.432/.545 in his first 10 games.
