Walter Ancker pitched four games for the 1915 Philadelphia Athletics.
He was 18 years younger than teammate Nap Lajoie.
The Sporting Life of April 1, 1916 indicates that Ancker was optioned out to Asheville.
Ancker pitched for Binghamton in 1917 and 1919. An article in the Binghamton Press on April 5, 1922, indicates that Walter Ancker and Jack Ancker had both joined Elmira.
