Shannon was the scouting director Cleveland Indians (1965), Baltimore Orioles (1966-1972), and California Angels (1973-1977). Shannon was then assistant GM of the Milwaukee Brewers from 1978 to 1988, then a special assistant to the GM from 1989 to 1991.
