On December 11, 1956 Wally Lammers was involved as a part of a trade between the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals. Wally was a career minor league player for 15 years, starting in 1945 in the Ohio State League and ending in 1960 in the Southern Association. He never played in the major leagues.
