Wally Holborow was a thirty-year-old rookie who pitched well in two stints with the wartime Washington Senators but less effectively with the 1948 Athletics.
He got in most of his major league innings with the 1945 Senators who won 87 games. He was one year younger than teammate Harlond Clift.
