Many major league players have come from Wake Forest University. The one with the most major league at-bats through 2006 is Willard Marshall; Tommy Byrne is among the best pitchers who are alumni. The campus was orginally located in Wake Forest, NC, but moved to Winston-Salem between 1946 and 1956.
