Infielder Vincent "Moon" Mullen played in the minor leagues from 1937 to 1947, almost entirely as a player/manager. He spent only a half of a season above class D ball. Mullen made the 1939-1940 KITTY League all-star teams as the utility player while hitting .292 and .340, then made it as the third baseman in 1941 while hitting .322.
