Vance Carlson was a minor league pitcher and manager. He played from 1946 to 1954, going 54-67. Perhaps his best year was his first, when he went 17-8 in 216 innings for the Twin Falls Cowboys (17-8) and Kansas City Blues (0-0). He served as a player-manager for parts of two seasons.
