[edit] Biographical Information

[edit] Baseball

I grew up a misplaced Baltimore Oriole fan; Cal Ripken, Jr. was (and still is, to an extent) my idol. Since he retired, I really have no reason to root for the Orioles anymore and I became more or less a Mariner fan by default, but I also have a soft spot in my heart for the Toronto Blue Jays. I am a pundit on a baseball roundtable podcast titled Touch 'em All, listenable here, on the CLW83 Network. (I debuted on the third show.)

I used to play some pick-up ball as in infielder, even trying to form my own team in the sixth grade. We actually played a game, too. My brother created a team of his own, as well. We won, but I think just because my players were all two years older than his.

After this time, I hit a lazy streak and never had strong enough grades to warrant playing organized ball, so I just dinked around with my friends, most of whom tried to encourage me to join a league.

I collect team highlight tapes; I have about 35 or 40.

My great-grandfather, Bill Trezona was a semi-pro pitcher in Spokane -- in the Twilight League -- in the 1930s.

After the passing of Dave Niehaus, I rewrote the words to John Fogerty's "Centerfield" and sung it at the now defunct karaoke bar my brother and I used to frequent. "Centerfield" was and still is the song I sing most frequently, switching out the title word in the chorus for a center fielder I admire, usually for their defensive ability. (e.g. "Look at me, I can be Devon White")

[edit] Miscellania

Born in Seattle, I was raised the suburb of Shoreline and still live there. I will retire to Spokane, WA -- my spiritual hometown -- when financially able; I fell in love with the city again after attending my great-grandmother's (Bill Trezona's wife) 100th birthday party there.

I am a huge music fan. I mostly listen 80s heavy metal and J-Metal, but I also like some older classic rock, as well, and I love old Motown. I collect Greatest Hits/Best Of CDs; I currently have about 125 (rough estimation) in addition to other albums I have, most of which by bands that you have never heard of. My favorite groups include Loudness, Racer X, Dokken, Anthem, Quiet Riot, Kix, Earthshaker, Tesla and Babylon A.D..

I come from a family of musicians; my great grandfather (Mr. Trezona, again), grandfather, and one of my cousins all play/played the drums, another cousin is a singer, my grandmother was a pianist, and my dad and yet another cousin play guitar. I used to be able to drum as well, but it's been so long, my skills are probably shot.

My brother and I used to go to our local karaoke bar most Saturday nights until the bar closed in January, 2011. We didn't find an adequate replacement until a new tenant opened up shop that summer; they unfortunately shut their doors that same December.

I'm also a huge football fan, the Seattle Seahawks are my team.

My favorite TV shows include Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, MythBusters, Dragnet, Jeopardy!, Rescue 911, and SASUKE.

I am a semi-active Twitterer and my tweets have become legendary in the minds of... absolutely no one.
