United States League
From BR Bullpen
The United States League played for part of one year (1912). The outlaw league did not sign up with the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues and was not classified. The league adopted a schedule running from May 1 to September 28. Due to numerous team withdrawals, the league ceased operations on June 24. William Whitman was league president, and Deacon Phillippe was the manager of the Pittsburgh entry.
