[edit] Team History
The Truchas de Toluca are among the shortest-lived teams in modern Mexican League history. They were members of the Liga for the strike-shortened 1980 season, known then as Osos Negros and, along with a number of other teams, disappeared after the work stoppage. They then returned for a single season in 1984. The city of Toluca does not have much of a baseball history, as it has never hosted teams in any of the Mexican minor leagues or winter leagues either.
