Slash line
From BR Bullpen
(Redirected from Triple-slash line)
A Slash line is the most commonly-used short listing of a player's key offensive statistics. In the 1990s, it replaced the former Triple Crown stat usage, as it more aptly describes a player's offensive contributions. A player's batting average is listed first, then OBP and finally slugging percentage. For instance, R.J. Reynolds hit .288/.354/.344 for the 1990 Pirates; he had a .288 average, .354 OBP and .344 slugging percentage.
