Tony Harris has been a long-time coach and manager. Harris has coached for the Australian national team in the 1997 Intercontinental Cup, 1999 Intercontinental Cup, 2000 Olympics, 2001 Baseball World Cup, 2004 Olympics, 2005 Baseball World Cup, 2006 World Baseball Classic, 2007 Baseball World Cup and 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament. He was head coach of the Australian junior team in the 2006 World Junior Championship. He has coached in the US minors with the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1992 through at least 2006, including two years as a minor league manager.
Harris coached the Adelaide Giants in the Australian Baseball League from 1992-1999. He was Manager of the Year in the 1993-1994 ABL, 1996-1997 ABL and 1998-1999 ABL. He also managed South Australia in the 2002 and 2003 Claxton Shield.
Harris played as an outfielder for three seasons in the ABL, hitting .240 and slugging .407.
