Tony Cogan pitched 39 games for the 2001 Kansas City Royals. In 2006, he went 7-5 with a 3.02 ERA in an independent league.
Cogan was a star pitcher at Stanford University at the time Joe Borchard was there. Cogan was picked in the 12th round of the 1999 draft, and moved his way from Single A to Triple A in 1999-2001 as well as to the majors. He was in Double A ball in 2002.
In 2005 and 2006 he has pitched in independent ball.
