[edit] Biographical Information

Tommy Atkins was part of the Philadelphia Athletics in the days of the $100,000 infield. In 1910, when the A's won the World Series, Atkins appeared in 15 games with a record of 3-2 and 2 saves. He was 22, a year younger than Eddie Collins.

He was the first of three major leaguers (through 2007) named Atkins.

In 1914 he played for the company team of White Auto, a team which went 28-4.
