Tommy Thevenow holds the record for most consecutive at bats without a home run, with 3,347 -- a streak that ran from 1926 the end of his career in 1938. But he knew how to pick his moments, since his last home run came in Game 2 of the 1926 World Series.
He ran a grocery store after his baseball days.
Inducted into the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.
