[edit] Biographical Information

Tom Yewcic was signed by the Detroit Tigers in 1954 and came up with them for one game in 1957. However, he had more success in the NFL in 1961-66.

He was a two-sport athlete at Michigan State University, serving as quarterback in the Rose Bowl Game. After his baseball days, he played a season in the Canadian Football League before he joined the NFL.

After his playing days, he was a college coach and then went back to the Patriots as an assistant coach. As of December 2006, he is a partner in a surgical supply company.
