Tom Prince was signed as a 4th round pick (secondary phase) of the January 1984 amateur draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates and scout Bill Bryk.
Known primarily as a defensive catcher during a career that spanned twenty years, Prince is presently the manager of the GCL Pirates. He had been manager of the Williamsport Crosscutters in the New York-Penn League in 2005 and 2006. In 2005, he took the team to the playoffs.
