Tom Nanne is the younger brother of Paul Nanne and was his teammate in the Olympics. Tom Nanne pitched for the Dutch national team in the 1993 European Championship. In the 1994 Baseball World Cup, he allowed one hit and two walks in 3 innings; the only run he gave up was unearned. He had a 8.00 ERA in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, third-worst on the Netherlands staff.
In the 1996 Olympics, Tom was awful, with 9 hits and 6 walks in 2 2/3 innings, leading to 10 runs (9 earned). His 30.38 ERA was actually not the worst on the Orange, as Eelco Jansen was slightly higher.
