Tom Mulcahy

Tom Mulcahy, although he never played in the majors, is noted for a number of reasons. First, as a star from Gonzaga University, he was signed to a professional baseball contract by fellow Gonzagan Bing Crosby. Second, he was Tommy Lasorda's batting practice pitcher when Tommy managed the Spokane Indians. Third, he spent 20 years with the San Diego Padres as a scout, and later in their ticket office.
He was ordained as a Jesuit priest in 1968.
