Tom McAvoy was a pitcher who appeared in exactly 1 major league game, with the Washington Senators in 1959. A minor-leaguer for three years after being signed by Washington, he pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief in the Senators' last game of the '59 regular season, allowing no runs on 1 hit. He later played in the Minnesota Twins' farm system before being released during the 1961 season. He currently resides in Stillwater, New York.
