Tom Dodd was at the University of Oregon from 1977-79 and taken in the first round of the 1980 draft by the New York Yankees. In the minors, he was in the Yankees organization, the Chicago White Sox organization, the Toronto Blue Jays organization and the Baltimore Orioles organization before coming up to the parent Orioles club for 8 games in 1986. He then had a great season at Charlotte in 1987.
