Tom Brown was a major leaguer for only two weeks, but he was a workhorse during that time. With the 1978 Seattle Mariners who lost 104 games, he made his debut on September 14, 1978, and pitched in 6 games in the next couple weeks. His ERA was 4.15 on a team whose team ERA was 4.67. He gave up no unearned runs. He was released the next spring.
Led the nation with a 0.51 ERA in 1972 at Northeast Louisiana University
In 1989, Tom Brown played for the Bradenton Explorers of the Senior Professional Baseball Association.
Since his playing days ended, he has been a longtime minor league pitching coach.
