Thomas Jeferson Beyers
- Born April 9, 1958 in San Francisco, CA
Outfielder Tom Beyers was drafted in the 15th round of the 1979 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Beyers played in the Dodgers chain from 1979 to 1983.
After retiring in 1983, Beyers spent sixteen years coaching and managing in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He was the hitting coach for the GCL Dodgers (1984-1986) and Vero Beach Dodgers (1987). He was the manager of the Salem Dodgers (1988-1989) and Bakersfield Dodgers (1990-1992). He was the hitting coach for the Albuquerque Dukes (1993) and manager of the San Antonio Missions (1994). Finally he was the minor league hitting coordinator from 1995 to 1999.
Beyers joined the Chicago Cubs in 2000 as hitting coach of the Eugene Emeralds. In 2004 he managed the Boise Hawks, and in 2005 he was their hitting coach. In 2006 he was the hitting coach of the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx and in 2007 he returned to manage Boise again.
