Tomáš Sýkora is a signee of the Cincinnati Reds.
Sýkora hit .150/.190/200 for Krč Altron in the 2008 Extraliga and was 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA on the mound, allowing 15 hits in 9 1/3 innings. He played for the Czech Republic in the 2008 World Junior Championship, going 2 for 16 with 7 strikeouts at the plate and allowing one run while retiring no one. He then was in the European Baseball Academy.
Tomáš signed a 7-year deal with the Cincinnati Reds in the summer of 2008; at just past 16 years of age, he was the youngest European player to sign with a Major League Baseball team to that point.
