Pitcher Todd Stottlemyre was signed as a 1st round pick (secondary phase) by the Toronto Blue Jays and general manager Pat Gillick.
Son of Mel Stottlemyre Sr. and brother of Mel Stottlemyre Jr.. His uncle, Jeff Stottlemyre, was a minor league pitcher for the Seattle Mariners from 1980 to 1983.
