Tim Walsh pitched two minor league seasons for the Boise A's, short season A club of the Oakland Athletics. He went 5-4 with 2 saves and a 5.79 ERA in 1975 and was 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in three games in 1976. Overall, he went 5-5 with two saves and a 5.92 ERA in 25 career games, six of them starts. He walked 58 in 73 innings.

He is the father of beach volleyball player Keri Walsh, who became famous as a tandem with Matt Treanor's wife.
