Tim Timmons started his umpiring career in the 1991 New York-Penn League. He then worked in the 1992 South Atlantic League, 1993-1994 Carolina League, 1995-1996 Southern League and 1997-2001 International League. In 2001, he became a MLB umpire. He worked the 2008 season opener and the first MLB games played in China. He worked the 2009 All-Star Game.
