[edit] Biographical Information

Catcher Tim Laker was selected by the Montreal Expos in the eighth round of the 1988 amateur draft. He made his big league debut in 1992 and hit the first pitch he saw in the majors, a single off Tom Glavine. He bounced between the Expos and the minors the next several years. After having Tommy John surgery in 1995, he missed the following season.

In 2007, Laker managed the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, and in 2008 he became the Cleveland Indians' minor league catching coordinator.

Laker admitted to buying testosterone four times during his career; the information came out in the Mitchell Report.
