Outfielder Tim Bishop was selected by the New York Mets in the 57th round of the 1994 amateur draft and started his pro career that summer with the GCL Mets. He began the 1997 season as the starting centerfielder for the Capital City Bombers and hit .204 with 7 steals in 14 games. He was hit by a car and killed on April 19th of that season.
