The Winning Team is a 1952 film about the life story of Hall of Fame pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander. Ronald Reagan stars as Alexander and Doris Day portrays his wife. Major leaguers Bob Lemon, Jerry Priddy, Peanuts Lowrey, George Metkovich, Irv Noren, Hank Sauer, Al Zarilla, and Gene Mauch also appear in the movie.
