 Biographical Information
Tex's ERA wasn't all that impressive, however, and the next year, when his ERA was almost the same, his win-loss record was 3-4.
The Tigers had picked him up from Kansas City in 1912, and after his days with the Tigers the Boston Braves had rights to him but he never appeared in the majors with them. In 1918 they traded him to Indianapolis.
In 1920 he played first base for Indy, and led the league in fielding percentage at that position. After the 1922 season he was traded to Louisville.
