Founded in 2007 as one of the innaugural teams of the Israel Baseball League, The Tel Aviv Lightning play their home games at Sportek Baseball Field in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Lighting share Sportek Field with the Netanya Tigers.
The Lightning played their inaugural game against the Ra'anana Express at Yarkon Sports Complex on June 25, 2007. Over the course of 7 innings, the Lightning defeated the Express 10-4.
