Teerasak Kongsabai played first base for the Thai national team in the 2007 Baseball World Cup, the country's first appearance in a major global (not just Asia) tournament. He was 1 for 14 with a walk and fielded perfectly at first base. In the 2009 Asian Championship, the 37-year-old was named one of the "Best Players" in the first round, helping his team advance to the 2010 Asian Games.
