[edit] Biographical Information

Teddy Martinez was a versatile infielder-outfielder for the New York Mets in the early 1970s. Despite showing promise, he could dislodge neither Bud Harrelson at shortstop or Felix Millan at second base and was dealt to the St. Louis Cardinals and then the Oakland Athletics before returning to the minor leagues in 1976. In 1977, Martinez received a new lease on his baseball life as he was acquired by the Los Angeles Dodgers as a utility infielder, a role at which he excelled for three seasons.

Martinez managed the 1993 DSL Dodgers 1 and the Dominican national team for the 2007 Pan American Games.
