BR still has 185 lbs, but his weight here keeps getting bumped up. Spam, or is he filling out as he gets older? --Jeff 11:56, 23 October 2011 (EDT)

I doubt Sean's tracking weight changes on Japanese players. The official NPB site lists 98 kg, which is 215 lb, 30 more than BR has listed, 20 less than our most recent poster. - --Mischa 20:41, 23 October 2011 (EDT)

I only hope he doesn't turn out to be like Dice-K, ok but nothing special. Toronto bid on him, and I'm still not sure he's worth the money. For what they were going to pay him, they could have kept Halladay around... Oaktree_b 08:08, 21 December 2011 (EST)

Matsuzaka was okay but nothing special?? He was 6th in the league in strikeouts in 2007 then third in ERA and tied for 4th in wins in 2008 before injury derailed his US career. He was one of the best pitchers in the AL for a couple years! - --Mischa 11:27, 21 December 2011 (EST)

52 mil for a couple years work, the Sox got hosed. Oaktree_b 22:49, 21 December 2011 (EST)

Don't forget the extra 51 mil they paid for his rights. --Jeff 23:08, 21 December 2011 (EST)

I agree they overpaid, but I would say he was better than "ok" before he got hurt. - --Mischa 08:39, 22 December 2011 (EST)

That's kind of what I was getting at. We were all so excited before the got signed, and now he's gone. And I'm a Toronto fan, so slagging the Bosox and Yankees comes with the job Oaktree_b 15:33, 22 December 2011 (EST)
