Sorry but there were ballplayers kiled in World War II - see category for KIA's --Ron 17:47, 13 Apr 2006 (EDT)

But no MLB player was killed in action, which is what is written. - --Mischa 07:31, 16 Apr 2006 (EDT)

The wording is "Fortunately, not one major league player was killed as a result of the conflict" which is arguable. --Ron 07:56, 16 Apr 2006 (EDT)

Is the current version better? I reworded the sentence a bit. - --Mischa 09:01, 16 Apr 2006 (EDT)

Still am bothered. I'm not sure of the circumstances involving the death of Elmer Gedeon but "he was shot down over France" and Harry O'Neill was killed in the Battle of Iwo Jima. --Ron 09:40, 16 Apr 2006 (EDT)

I'll remove the sentence altogether. - --Mischa 14:48, 16 Apr 2006 (EDT)
